The attack of the sickness!
So my soon to be 21 month old daughter decided last thursday it would be a good time to get the stomach bug and projectile throw up all over the couch and the living room floor. I was covered, everything.. was covered. It was the first time I had to deal with a sick child that was throwing up everywhere. Of course in a panic I called my mother and had her come up to help me clean up the .. huge.. amount of puke, which by the time she had gotten there everything was cleaned and tossed in the wash to be all non-sickified (SP and is that even a word? I just made it one..). She managed to not eat anything for at least the whole day, and then I gave her a little bit of food the next day but mostly pure liquids and pedialyte, which tastes like medicine.. at least she liked it.
She managed to get over it the next day, although I was still cautious and her poop was super runny. Sorry to be graphic, but ya know.. My husband on saturday decided he wanted to catch what my daughter had, and managed to stay in the bathroom for at least an hour before sleeping the rest of the day and the night away on the couch, curled up in the fetal position. Thankfully I wasn't sick or absolutely no one would have been taken care of that day, ha ha. No really. Sunday he was quick to get over it other than being cautious with how he ate and even though it was the Super Bowl and we did have plans to go to a friend's house, we stayed in.
Which brings me to wednesday, the first day of my college classes. Don't get me wrong, I had a lot of fun, it's just going to be a bunch of work that I'm not incredibly used to. Essay, essay, read, read, write. No quizzes, no exams. My whole Bachelor's degree is mostly dedicated to reading and writing. It's a LOT harder than you think it is.. especially when you have to read about 6 chapters in a couple different books within a week plus have an essay and a rough draft written and ready as well as another book summarized and ready to do a presentation on it. Come on now! Although so far it's been exciting, I know it's going to be long, rough.. and simply difficult. Thankfully it's my Bachelor's and not my Associates.
Everyone in my family so far has gotten this stomach bug, which I am avoiding them.. and sadly it's been in my house so I have a higher risk of catching it. I'm hopefully waiting until next week and if I don't get it.. maybe I'm in the clear? Ahh, who knows.
I will soon be posting The Kids Did It blog link here on my blog so everyone can hop over there to see more of my reviews, possibly enter a bunch of awesome giveaways (Spring Fashionista Event coming up in March!).. and enjoy reading lots of other bloggers that contribute to The Kids Did It. Everyone, including the owner, are great people. Nothing like plugging a buddy!
So of course, despite getting hit with Nemo the snow storm up here in New York, I'm staying inside and keeping warm! I have no plans of going anywhere anytime soon.. my 4 year Wedding Anniversary is on Valentine's Day (Different way of celebrating that special day, no?), and my birthday is on the 18th.. I will be 28, and I'm not liking that too much.. just another day though right?
Well, off to bed I go. I rambled enough and got out what I wanted to say. Just remember to wash your hands, keep sanitized and make sure you bundle up and stay warm in this cold weather if you are in an area that is bitter freezing! Or just simply move south, which is what my grandparents, aunt and uncles all did.. Smart, I'd say.. Night all!

Children's Advil
Infant's Advil
A while ago I received a container of Children's Advil to review for my daughter, thanks to Smiley 360. At the time my daughter had been teething awful, at 20 months old (and she still is 20 months old). Of course I have used other products as well and have only used Advil once when her Pediatrician had given me a sample just so I had something to use, since I could not get to the store in time to pick some up.
I like Children's Advil, it definitely helped my daughter and her teething, and it was pretty quick to kick into her system to help with the aches and pains that she was dealing with. The smell of the liquid isn't too bad and I tasted it myself just to see what my daughter was tasting, it was not bad. In fact, she liked it which made it pretty easy to give it to her. If I had to I would have no problem using it again, of course! I don't have a bottle available to me now but I'm sure if in the future my daughter is close to the end of her teething cycle, but does teeth again or experiences any aches and pains including fevers, Advil will more than likely be a product that I will pick up.
Of course, if you do purchase it, make sure you speak to your child's Pediatrician as I have no idea if the dosage is different from the other medicine you give your child. I did call my daughter's Pediatrician just to double check before I gave her any, as I always do if I switch a medicine. I also verify everything on the package of the medicine container as far as the hours between dosing goes and symptoms, with my daughter's nurse and/or Pediatrician. Always double check. Take precautions with your little ones, medicine can be scary and can easily be over-dosed!
For more information please go to Infant/Children's Advil.
Disclosure: I received compensation/free product for this review. My statements/review is in no connection to Smiley 360 or the company or in link to anyone else. Although I did receive a free product that did not sway my thoughts or opinions on the product itself, all of my statements are true to my beliefs.

Healthy Vegan Dinner with Morning Star Farms
Morning Star Farms Burger Review
Happy? YOU BET I AM! I got the chance from BzzAgent.com to review the yummy Morning Star Farms Burgers, for free! I of course picked it up with the rest of my other groceries last night and rushed right home to fix them up for dinner. I also looked up Morning Star Farms online and grabbed the recipe for the associated burgers that I had picked up (for free!). I did however change it up just a little bit, but I will leave a link to the original recipe so you guys can easily snag it and enjoy according to their recipe. My change ups only included taking some of the ingredients out since the added ingredients I didn't exactly have. No big deal!
Morning Star Farms Open-Face Mushroom Swiss Burger
Ingredients:
1 MorningStar Farms® Mushroom Lover's Burger
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 tbsp butter
8 oz fresh mushrooms, chopped
2 slices sandwich bread
1 slice swiss cheese
Salt & Pepper to taste
Cook your burger on a George Forman to keep the grease out of it or cook it however you like. Sautee some onion and butter together until the onions are wilted and slightly opaque and sprinkle with some salt and pepper, then toss in your chopped mushrooms and saute them together until the onions are lightly caramelized. Pull your finished hamburger off of the pan or grill and top with the cheese quickly so it melts.
I used some mayonnaise on my burger, it's completely your preference! I only used a little on one side to give it a little flavor. Top with your hamburger and mixture of onions and mushrooms and you're all set to go!
This burger pops with flavor and it's super healthy (other than the mayo and butter of course) for you. It not only melts in your mouth but it makes you want to come back for so much more, which is nice about the MorningStar Farms burgers, they are super inexpensive, healthy for you and the box comes with four hamburgers, so stock up and eat up!

Week of Nothing
So I promised to blog more, but it's been difficult. I truly am not sure what to blog about since there are quite a bit of blogs out there that pretty much cover everything from changing poopy diapers, to traveling NYC without a tour guide. So what in the world could I possibly blog that would get your attention and keep you coming back for more?
In the next couple of days I plan on getting a list together.. writing down things that I can attribute to this networked list of socializing blogs, something that people will see and say "Oh, that topic sounds interesting.. Click." Something like that, at least. It might not go exactly like that, but close enough, right? I also plan on changing the layout of the page. Buttons under the banner would be nice, so people can navigate a lot easier. Something even I don't mind checking out.. I plan on also collecting a few affiliates, and possibly trying to get into some blog groups or even jump on a voting blog thing. Yeah not the right name for it but I was close, right?
Next I may just have to do some activities, some crafty things with my daughter.. hopefully they turn out okay, and post some tutorials on here or just some all around fun things that we have done together and blog about it. So now that you know where my brain is kind of going, you'll know I'm kind of at a stand still but I am definitely trying to keep my blog going! I don't exactly have much to review, but if anyone has any suggestions I'm totally up for them, and I'm looking into reviewing some things and posting them on here!
I also am starting Organizational Management classes on the 6th of February, so I'm sure anything I learn and pull from my 2 years of quick college courses I will be placing here to make sure everyone gets the chance to learn just a little something. I don't mind sharing!
Again, if anyone has any comments I wouldn't mind reading them, honestly!! I know not alot of people read my blog, if any at all.. but it would be nice to hear something back, just to make me want to keep my blog alive somewhat!

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream Review
Neutrogena Hand Cream Norwegian Formula Review
Hey guys! I'm so excited to share my thoughts on this product that I
received from BzzAgent. Of course I am also posting a nail manicure
(Sorta..) on here of my own hands, which I would never do.. but this
here is such a great product I figure it's just something I should do.
I received a package at least a week ago and this is what came with it..
It had a couple more samples with it but of course I was too excited
so I ended up handing them out to people I knew to get the word out!
Handy: This product definitely travels very well, I have managed to
stick it in my purse or jacket pocket and travel wherever I need to go,
pull it out and use it whenever need be! The lid comes off easily and
it's not a struggle to get anything to come out of it, which is really
helpful.
Fragrance Free?: The sample I received was fragrance free, but for
some reason it does have a subtle smell. It's not bad, don't get me
wrong! Infact, I LOVE the smell of it on my hands, so much that I
sometimes smell my hands after applying the lotion. I'm weird, I know.
Works Like A Charm: The Neutrogena Hand Cream is meant to
heal dry skin, just a dab is enough to heal cracks and damages to your
hands and help them feel soft and manageable again. My hands do get
sore and at times my skin cracks.. I also have been known to have
super awful hang nails! Not in this case. This cream has helped my
hands.. within seconds of application my hands are super smooth and
any hang nails I may have are no longer sore, plus it doesn't even hurt!
Non-Greasy: Despite other hand cream that might leave a residue,
this product has done very nicely at making sure it doesn't leave that
nasty greasy feeling. I apply it and immediately am on the computer
or doing things I need to do around the house with no fear of getting
it all over things.
Mini-Manicure: Below is a small manicure I did for myself using
my E.L.F. nailpolish, and then applying the hand cream. This is my
first time ever doing a review like this so I apologize first off for the
not so professional looking photos!
First: I took care to apply some vaseline gently around my cuticles and the skin around my nails just in case I stray away from the nail (like I usually do), but in any case.
Second: Carefully applied my choice of nailpolish (as you can see I'm not that great of an artist, so going to a professional would probably be a good idea in the near future..)
Third: Wipe off any excess nail polish from the skin that you might have snagged, then open up that awesome bottle of Neutrogena Hand Cream and apply it to your hands. I rub mine into my cuticles, and around the back part of my hands extra good, also on my knuckles where they sometimes crack on me. Remember, Only a little dab goes a long way! This stuff is so amazing that you don't need TOO much! You don't want your bottle running out too fast.
Voila!: Finished product! My hands feel soft and they look good!
Question!: Have you used this product before? If not, would you? If so, what do you
like the most about it?
Disclaimer: All opinions here are my own and are in no way affiliated with the companies listed above. I received a sample package from BzzAgent.com to test out, review and return my opinion, the nailpolish was a Christmas gift and is in no way associated with the product above or BzzAgent in anyway.
